Things That Men Look for Womens Photo On Online Dating

Online dating is often given a bad rap because of the ease with which people can deceive others. The art of capturing the real "you" in a collection of photographs may seem easy. But for many it is not. For one thing, many people do not like the way they appear in pictures. But since the only thing you have to rely on in online dating is your cache of photos, there are a few things you should know. Contrary to popular belief, men look at a lot more than just your obvious physical "trimmings"; you might just be taken aback to discover the little details that can either find you passed over or receiving tons of messages.

Here are the five things that men first to look for a women photo in online dating:

A Pretty Face- You don't have to have "supermodel status" to impress a horde of potential suitors. But you should pay special attention to the facial photo that you post on internet dating sites. Put on your best face or have your make-up professionally done (this can sometimes be done free at some department store make-up counters.) If you feel pretty, then your smile will appear more genuine in pictures.

That Smile- And speaking of smiling...This is something that you may even want to practice in a mirror. Veteran supermodel and America's Next Top Model hostess Tyra Banks has practically coined the "smiling with the eyes" phrase. But Ms. Banks has a valid point. A true smile can be detected merely by looking at one's eyes. Learning to express different emotions through the eyes can have a profound effect on the smile you present in photos. You may feel silly; but try out a few expressions in the mirror until you're comfortable. The results in photographs may astound you.

Full Length Body Shots- To put it bluntly, men are visual creatures who enjoy seeing full body shots of the women they might potentially date. That the camera has a tendency to add a few extra pounds where there are none, is very often true. But this doesn't mean that you should resort to a series of head shots to avoid "photo bloat."Use a full-length mirror and practice some poses which are flattering to your shape. There are certain ways to position your body (whether sitting or standing) such that the line of your figure is seen at a better angle. Ultimately, you want a potential mate to love you for who you are. If you hide yourself, you run the risk of missing out on meeting someone who will appreciate whatever kind of body you have.

Sex Appeal- This is the issue that causes the most stir on internet dating sites. Because there are so many people jockeying to be seen above thousands of others, some women go a little overboard when it comes to presenting an appealing package. Suffice it to say that some dating site pics border on pornographic. And even though skin is a definite profile booster, you'll need to think about the kinds of men who would respond to overtly provocative photos. Indeed there is a way to project sex appeal without sleaze. Have your photo taken before an evening out, or even while you're out having cocktails. That's an excellent way to showcase your nightlife side without appearing too desperate. Save the "Parental Discretion Advised" pics for the dating web sites that promote more "adult" connections.

Activities- While men love seeing photos of a woman who looks hot in her "little black dress", it's important to note that they're also paying attention to whether or not it seems you have an active life. If all of your pics are head shots taken in the mirror, or in the car—some gentlemen may feel you have no imagination. While it is assumed that you do in fact have some sort of life, the more you prove that in pictures, the more appealing you'll be to potential dates. Pictures that are taken from different events such us company functions, parties, sporting events, or other events show that you are an active participant in the world. Make sure that the pictures are a true representation of the things you enjoy doing. If you're an artist, post pictures of your work as well. The purpose of posting photos on your dating site profile is to provide a future mate with a little peek into your lifestyle. The more creatively you do that with your online photo collection, the more quality responses you will see in your dating inbox. Good Luck!

Online Dating Customs

Today, as everyone who uses a computer and surfs the Internet knows, the World Wide Web can be used for a large number of reasons, the more popular uses among them being banking and e-commerce, shopping, and finding a partner in love. As the number of users like you has been growing steadily, so has the need for a set of manners and behaviors, or proper dating etiquette, grown.

On social matchmaking and dating sites, social etiquette is very important, because today, more and more boys and girls are visiting these sites looking for love or companionship. What this means is that the dating scene has made it essential for all users to follow a certain code of etiquette. This way, any potential pas or a break in protocol that would perhaps put you in a tough social situation can be avoided. After all, isn't it better to know the rules before you start dating, rather than wonder at the end of it all, “What happened. I thought we were getting along just fine?”

The first thing to remember, however, is to never sign yourself into an unknown and less used dating site. It is always a good idea to stick to a good and reputable site, where you can feel most comfortable, and be yourself. Such a dating site would never break your confidence and sell your e-mail identity to unscrupulous persons, and also, this type of site would never allow its users to use profanity in any form. The second thing to remember is to remain completely honest, whenever and wherever possible, in your profile and personal details. The reason is that if you really desire to get to know someone, and like that person, then the truth about you would come out eventually, when you meet him or her. Online dating etiquette therefore dictates that honesty is probably the better policy to follow.

You could set up a separate e-mail account, meant just for the purpose of dating. Choose your online user name wisely, and try not to go overboard with it, like for example, no one would actually want to get to know someone called 'Beach Bum'. Allow some time, at least a week, for a response to come through, and try not to write someone off, based on his or her very first e-mail. After all, he could simply be testing the waters. Remember to check your grammar and spelling, nothing could put someone off as much as bad grammar or poor spelling, and it may give a completely wrong impression about you, if you do not take this simple step in online dating etiquette.

Some people wonder, why is there no response from him or her? At times, it is best to know that when you contact someone you think you like, and that person does not respond, then it can be taken to mean that he or she is not interested in you. Experts say that the 'silent treatment', whether it is on your side, or on the other, is one of the best solutions to this problem, rather than having to write an entire essay on why he or she does not want to be your friend any more. In the same way, it would be best if you could refrain from asking too many personal questions in the very first e-mail, like for example, “Where do you live”, and “Where do you work?” All these questions can be brought up later, when it has been decided that there is indeed interest on both sides. If, however, you decide to end your online relationship, for whatever reason, then the online dating etiquette approves of sending an e-mail to end it, rather than making an embarrassing telephone call.

Finally, remember that once you have decided upon one individual, and feel that he or she is the one for you, then do not remain open to other offers. Nothing can put off an individual more than knowing that you are still interested in other people, after you have specifically chosen this one person as the love of your life. Therefore, etiquette says that you must close your account with the dating agency, if you feel that you have met Mr. or Ms Right. Do confirm by a politely worded statement, whether the other person feels the same, like for example, by saying, “Don't you think our profiles can come down now?” and then go about closing your account with the online dating agency. All the Best!

Pragmatic Expectations On Online Dating

With the entire world open for search, focusing too much on one location can actually be distracting. So many people place their hopes in online dating that they can sometimes miss a person right under their nose, or on the contrary - they get so focused on meeting someone here and now that they do not consider the bigger picture. Whenever you consider that dating site is particularly for men and women, first you need to decide whether you are ready for the commitment and challenges associated with it. Are you ready to communicate without being able to see each other frequently? Are you ready to fit travel into your life to be able to maintain the relationship? Are you ready for the expenses of paying for online site membership and trips? Are you ready to move? Do you expect your partner to do so? You really should give consideration to all those things to know what your boundaries and limits are and what you can live with or without.

Building a relationship at distance means that your most frequent communication will most likely take place through e-mails. While fast and easy, it has its share of disadvantages. The person replying has plenty of time to think about what to write, how to answer, etc., and it does not mean she will be exactly this way in real life. A person, shy in face-to-face communication, can be a great writer and vice versa. So, it is important to remember that whoever you start liking through computer communication might be different in person. When you finally meet, remember to give both of you enough time to get acquainted on a different level and adjust to the change of meeting in person before making any decisions.

E-mails and chats also leave plenty of room for misunderstandings. When you read something in your communication that leaves you baffled, do not rush. Translation can, actually, account for a high percentage of misunderstandings - unless your lady is fluent in your language, or you understand hers perfectly, it is also likely that some confusion can result from using translation programs, poor interpreters, etc. Remember cultural differences, translation discrepancies, etc. and ask what your partner means before drawing any conclusions.

Once you create a profile on online dating sites, it is really easy to get carried away with all the options available. Having many people write you and contact you is certain to pamper your ego, but even though you might want to write and get to know all of them, it is best to evaluate the situation realistically. Chances are, you will not be able to handle intense, frank correspondence with more than two-three ladies at once. Having many people to write to is bound to create confusion, sending the wrong letter to the wrong person, etc. It does not mean that you have to ignore all those opportunities, but it is best to focus on creating a bond with the person you like the most and taking it slow with the rest in getting to know each other. This will give you a chance to get to know people more closely and understand if they are what you are looking for in a partner without offending anyone or getting yourself into too much activity.

Being away and seeing each other mainly in pictures can create inflated images of what your partner is really like. It is particularly a concern since many people tend to place their best photos on the website, dating agencies will also encourage women to place professional photos in their profile, etc. While it is not a crime, we suggest that you do exchange regular, real-life photos to know what each other looks like without make-up and photo correction. Because when you and your partner meet and plan your further life together - both of you will have bad hair days, get irritated, make mistakes or say the wrong things once in a while. So, the less both of you expect from your partner, the better - it will save you the risk of disappointment and help you accept your relationship on a deeper level.

It is also important to remember that when you meet in person and take further steps to being together (like moving in together or getting married) - be prepared to give time for an adjustment period. It is something that happens with any major change in a relationship, so do not let it scare you. Such adjustment periods will simply require both of you to be understanding, patient, and demand for reasonable expectations from your partner. Take some time to let each other know the boundaries of personal space, or some things that are a part of your routine, so your partner knows what to expect and you do not create unnecessary stress for each other. Ask every time you are getting the wrong vibes or unsure of what your partner means - it will help you clear the situation at once and get to know each other better in the process.

The most important thing to remember is that in online dating communication is the key, and there are always plenty of opportunities to search for the right person to share your life with.

Powerful Strategy Of Online Dating

Remember the bad old days where you had to hang out at a bar to find a woman, or worse still , wait until a friend of yours felt sorry enough for you to set you up with one of their women friends hoping that you two would hit it off. Now at our age we look out of place( and downright deviate!) if we go to a disco, and let’s face it, hanging out at bars week after week is soul destroying.

And the biggest problem with these old systems is that we have no information on the woman when we approach her. Firstly it is scary to have to get up the courage to approach a complete stranger and start a conversation with her. Secondly, we have no idea whether she is even single and thirdly, we have no idea whether she has the basic attributes we are looking for.
Let me give you an example. I have a few “no go “ zones that are mandatory for me. I don’t like smokers: I like my woman to be well educated and intelligent: I want someone that can string two words together effectively and express herself well. For many men who are looking to breathe some life into their dating life, knowing where to meet women is one of the first, and most annoying, challenges that they face. After all, even if you know how approach women and how to attract women, you still have to know where you can find them and where they’ll be open to being approached and asked out on a date. So if you’re ready to get your dating life together, the best place to start is……..

Online
So are you now thinking that only losers or desperate use the internet? Well, that might have been true about 10 years ago...but times have changed.
Now, the internet is a perfect way to decide where to meet women and to get to know them. Why? Well every woman on the dating site is single and looking for a male!! This is the ultimate niche marketing!! The dating sites provide you with a veritable bucket load of women that you can select for age, interests, education, smoker/non smoker, children/no children etc etc.
For the best results, do the meeting online, but make sure that you're moving the interaction into the “real world” as soon as possible. Don’t get caught up in the email ping pong that feels safe but won’t move you forward.. You need to meet face to face as soon as practical to see whether you both click or not.

Treat these meetings as an opportunity to hone your communication skills and sort out what you do or do not want in a future partner. You can also treat every meeting as an opportunity to widen your social world. I have heaps of friends now (all girls) that I “hang” with. They are all great and are very willing to be used as a sounding board when I have dating issues as well, so get out there and meet all these amazing women and treat every date as an opportunity to learn more about yourself. It’s like a wonderful new shopping expedition!

Researchers have found that it is a much more successful way to find long-term romance and friendship for thousands of people. In fact, they have shown that 94% of people who meet this way go on to a second date and the relationships lasted for an average of 7 months with 18 percent lasting for over one year. Now you have to admit that’s pretty good odds!!

Avoid Becoming A Online Dating Scams

Every year many people become a victim of online dating scams. Unfortunately these people do not even realise they are victims to dating scams until it is too late. The intention of all dating scams is to obtain money from innocent members of dating websites, therefore the importance of being familiar with the types of scams used and recognising the signs of a scammer cannot be underestimated.

A scammer can work alone, or as part of a larger group of individuals who spend their time chatting to legitimate members of dating websites. They do this by creating a false profile, often similar to your perfect match and they befriend you and gain your trust and affection. Once you have let your guard down and you believe they are your ideal partner, it is at that point that you could fall victim to one of the many scams widely used. The four main scams used on dating websites are the travel scam, the prostitute scam, the phone scam and the postal scam. Each scam is fairly straightforward and all result in you departing with your money if you fall victim to one.

One of the main purposes of using an online dating website is to eventually meet up with the individuals you chat to. Once you agree to meet up with someone, who unknowingly to you is a scammer, they will explain to you that they are currently living overseas and cannot afford the travel expenses to visit you. Having gained your trust and affection it is at this point they ask you to send them money for travel expenses and many innocent people send money to a scammer hoping that they will finally get to meet the man or woman of their dreams, but in reality you will never hear from them again. This is known as the travel scam and is sadly very commonly used.

The prostitute scam is fairly simple. Prostitutes take advantage of the online dating market and use dating websites to solicit business. A false profile is created, usually with a sleazy username and a raunchy detailed description, therefore making it relatively easy to recognise. Some people believe these prostitutes are genuinely looking for a relationship, but don’t be fooled into thinking this. They are on dating websites for one reason only; to make money at your expense.

The phone scam has been around for many years now but has now sadly become one of the online dating scams. As a member of a dating website you may receive a message from someone you have become friendly with asking you to phone them on the phone number given to you. You will be led to believe they want to talk to you in person away from the dating website. Unfortunately the phone number will not belong to the person you believe you are in contact with and you will find yourself receiving a large phone bill as a result of phoning the number given to you.

Scammers use several variations of the postal scam, although the principle is the same for all of them; you will be asked to send money. The most common postal scam is the Nigerian 419 scam which is also known as AFF or Advanced Free Fraud. This scam is usually used by people living in Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana and possibly other countries in western Africa. Once a scammer has befriended you, they will tell you that they live in the UK and are currently working abroad, generally one of the countries previously mentioned. They will then give a plausible reason for needing money urgently and ask you to send them the money leading you to believe that you are the only person that can help them.

Many people fall for the scams at this point and send the requested money, believing that they are genuinely helping a new friend in need. Scammers give many reasons for needing money, some examples are; They will tell you that they have a critically ill relative back in the UK and they need money for travel expenses to urgently visit them; They will claim to have been mugged and all their money and credit cards have been stolen, therefore requiring money to help them; They will tell you they are a student and need money while they complete their university degree; They may claim to be a relative of a deceased government official and require your assistance in transferring large sums of money, promising to give you a large amount of money in return for allowing them to use your bank account.

The importance of knowing when you could be in contact with a scammer cannot be underestimated. There are several signs to look out for which may include; a vague personal description that does not match the photo; they will avoid answering questions, usually because they are sending the same message to numerous people; conversations will be repeated; the tone and style of message may change; the use of very poor grammar and spelling, although this sign alone does not mean they are a scammer as many people have spelling and grammar issues; immediate responses to your messages; they will ask you to switch to using your personal email to avoid detection by the dating website; they will claim to be in love or falling in love with you, possibly sending you a romantic poem. One of the most obvious signs to look out for is a profile photo that looks like a model, which probably is of a model, but not a picture of the person sending you messages. Scammers use photos of beautiful people because profiles with beautiful people usually receive more mail, therefore the scammers have numerous people to choose between when deciding who they are going to pursue. More often than not if a profile photo looks too good to be true, it usually is.

If you have been a victim of a scam and have sent money, unfortunately there is little chance of you recovering it. Once money has been sent, the scammer usually ends all communication with you, although there is a slight chance you may be asked to send more money. If you are concerned you are in contact with a scammer, report them immediately to the online dating website you are using and stop all correspondence with them.

In general online dating sites are completely safe, as long as you follow the safety rules and look out for the signs of a scammer. Many sites both large and small screen members and look out for scammers, but unfortunately some online dating sites allow anyone to join and are only concerned in members actively sending messages. Don’t be fooled into thinking larger paying dating sites screen members, as not all of them do.

When using any online dating website, under no circumstances should you send money to anyone or reveal your bank account details. No matter how plausible a reason may sound, never send money. Having gained your trust a scammer will take advantage of your feelings and kind nature. No matter how well you feel you know someone, be sceptical and avoid becoming a victim to an online dating scam.

Advantage Of Matchmaking

Online dating isn’t just a fad anymore. According to the latest statistics, more than 40 million people in the United States online have admitted to using online dating services to help find a date. However, although there are certainly many success stories from happy couples who met online, the Internet is not right for everyone in search of love. For one, with dating websites it can difficult to tell if someone is being completely honest on their dating profile. Also, putting yourself out there online can expose you to unwanted attention from other users. If you are serious about finding someone to settle down with and don’t think online dating will serve your needs, consider matchmaker services.

For those with discriminating tastes, matchmaking offers an easy way to date selectively. In fact, this elite matchmaking site that can only match well-to-do clients with other successful singles. Also, online dating sites presents special challenges to high-profile singles looking for love. Celebrity matchmaking and executive matchmaking offer a discreet way to meet compatible people. Matchmaking can also offer these benefits:

• Professional guidance. With online dating, you’re essentially on your own to determine which people would be a good fit for you. Many find this difficult and overwhelming. When you enlist the help of a skilled matchmaker, you benefit from his or her expertise and well-honed intuition in your search for the right person.

• A more targeted search. Most dating websites nowadays offer advanced search features that allow you to filter other members by criteria such as age, religious beliefs or activities. But these sites don’t let you sift members by more specific and often vague qualities, like temperament, that are important in determining true compatibility. A matchmaker can find these qualities in someone much more effectively than a computer database can.

• Careful screening. An important part of the dating process is determining whether a potential suitor is on the up and up. Matchmakers thoroughly check out each potential match before introducing them to the client.

• Confidentiality. With online dating, your profile is available for all site members to view. With matchmaking services, your privacy is protected from unwanted scrutiny.

Finding A Perfect Online Dating Site

Can you plan to fall in love? Traditionally we think of love as a spontaneous thing in the way we think of luck or a sudden miracle that "just happens". It is true that the moment that you find that special chemistry that turns into love has all the elements of magic but a magic that seems guided by some unknown force from beyond, the one who wants you to be with the person "that was made for you".

So we don't want to lose that special feeling about love. Maybe you cannot be so calculating that you can actually "plan" to fall in love. But if you are not aggressive and getting "out there" where you can meet singles who are also looking for the love of their lives, the odds that you will find that special someone go down dramatically. So while you cannot plan to fall in love, you sure can help it along.

Just as you know that you have to plan a good date, especially a first date, so all of the elements of romance are in place, planning even to find people who will make good dating partners can go a long way to assure your success. This is true in the world of dating using your local social settings. But it is even more true in the world of single online dating.

The very fact that you are starting to experiment with singles online dating sites means you are ready to go about this process of finding a lover in an organized and systematic process. Joining a dating site is a deliberate act. That means you don't just fall backward into one. You pick the dating service that you want based on some criteria. Then once you have created your account, you use some logical methods for finding potential dating partners on that site. The difference between those romantic success stories that you hear about online dating and people who flounder at cyber romance is often the quality of those logical methods.

Finding Potential Partner in The Internet

The internet is awash with shameless proposals and embarrassing emails. One recent movie In Search of a Midnight Kiss capitalises on this trend.

In the film, 29-year-old Wilson places an ad on the website Craigslist on New Year's Eve. He ends up arranging to meet a woman who claims to weigh 180lb in her ad but
who in fact turns out to be a pretty young actress hell-bent on finding the right guy to be with at midnight. The film is a delightful examination of the embarrassing first date experience - here turned up to the nth degree with the added pressure of the midnight countdown. In the movie, the couple do eventually wind up falling in love, after, of course, going through a series of trials and obstacles, but in the end circumstances mean that they can't stay together.

But can you really find love on the net? Many are convinced that Internet dating is the last refuge of the sad, mad and dysfunctional. I'd heard horror stories of men who used a variety of dating sites to bolster their sex lives, going on a string of dates with multiple partners hoping to fall into bed with as many as possible.

I signed up out of curiosity, not a real wish to find a partner. At first all my preconceived ideas were proved right. Men who looked 70 claimed to be 30 years younger. Various men sent me messages. A couple were amusing - unintentionally. Some were enigmatic - but not enough for me to risk meeting them. One was so disarmingly honest, I liked him straight off. But then he sent a picture and all bets were off.

It's no wonder many people are switched off internet dating. People put their best foot forward, often posting the best (sometimes doctored) picture of themselves as well as the most interesting details about themselves. But in the flesh, they often turn out to be, well, disappointing.

With the number of single people set to rise, however, many still continue to use the net to find love. But a new generation of websites hope to eliminate the possibility of false representation. Websites such as singles online dating use web cam so people can't hide or pretend to be more attractive or younger than they really are. It also allows for more intimacy and immediacy, not to mention saving a good deal of time and effort.

Online Dating Give A Chance To Find A Partner In Life

Do you have trouble meeting people? Do you feel uncomfortable making the first move? Are you having trouble trying to find new places to meet people? Are you looking for someone that looks deeper into your personality than making judgments based on your appearance?

These were all reasons that I decided to give online singles dating a try. I was a busy college student that worked full time and I just didn't have the time to try to find my future mate in social situations. I tried dating a few coworkers with no success. Being a computer person, I thought that it was time to give online dating a try.

I signed up with Yahoo Personals. I created my profile of all my hobbies, what I liked and disliked, and what was important to me in finding my future husband. I didn't feel comfortable posting a picture of myself, so I didn't post a picture. I figured that, if and when I found someone that I was interested in, we could exchange pictures. This was new to me, and I wanted to remain a bit anonymous, which is why I didn't post a picture.

Originally I found that the guys that were responding seemed nice enough, but most of them either wanted to meet right away, or seemed to want to have conversations revolving around sex. I knew that I was looking for something more. A couple of men responded and seemed to be deeper than just talking about sex. One of them seemed very potential, but then turned out to be married! But a few months into my post, I met him. I met my future husband.

I didn't know he was my future husband, I just knew that we had so much in common that it was scary. I almost felt like I was talking to myself because we had so much in common. We kept talking for a few months, and then decided it was time to talk on the phone. We exchanged pictures of each other. We called each other, and our affection grew. Nothing changed by having phone conversations. We had so much in common, we knew that we had to meet. Since we were a few hours apart in distance, it took us awhile to get our schedules to mesh together before we were able to meet in person.
